Research Group on Culture, Publishing and Literature in the Hispanic World (19th-21st cent.) (GICELAH)

Researcher in charge: Pura Fernández Rodríguez

Members:

The Group's research is centered on the analysis of the contemporary cultural and publishing field (centuries XIX-XXI), beginning with (fundamentally) New Cultural History. From an interdisciplinary perspective the Group undertakes the study of the circuit that involves literary communication, as well as the study of its implied agents (writer, editor, cultural intermediaries and readers). The focus of its study consists of the types of discourse, cultural practices, strategies, and the public and private depictions of Spanish authors and publishers in order to define and develop their own field of cultural production.
